‘Library Glass Warp’

Library Glass Warp‘-2011, 20″ x 29.75″

Vancouver’s main library looks like a modern version of the Roman Coliseum. Of course, it’s surrounded by beautiful glass buildings, so I just decided to wrap them around it. The Library is also circular, so I stayed with the circular theme. This was a winter project. As usual; there was no snow… lucky to be living in “Lotus Land”!

‘Cathedral Grove Portal’

I love being in the forest but it has a dark side too. This piece mixes the beautiful with the unknown, which for me, are two of the best things about the forest. As long as it’s going well; it’s great.

Cathedral Grove is an Old Growth Forest on Vancouver Island.

‘Sailing Around Downtown’

‘Sailing Around Downtown’-2017, 45″x 80″

“I sometimes feel I have a little Don Quixote in me…

seeing things the way they are, is never good enough anymore.”

These days, a lot of people in Media and Politics, are working in “Alternate Facts”. This is a very creative field; you can do anything you want! To Artists… this is no big deal! That’s all we do. Yet in our culture; you won’t find any artists on Corporate Boards, or as Political Advisors…too Don Quixote. They refuse to stay inside the “Cool-Aid Bubble”, “too creative”,  “too unruly”…. God forbid, somebody should mention “TEAM”!

It’s all true… (disclaimer-my reality bubble!)

This piece needs a big space.  It can be rotated in any direction… if you’re indecisive.

‘Downtown Sky’

Information towers with 50,000 eyes,

most not watching.

Left, Right, Up or Down,

all the same… but different…

‘Stanley Park Fire Hydrant’

'Stanley Park Fire Hydrant'

‘Stanley Park Fire Hydrant’-2017, 45″x 45″

I swear; I did not “Photoshop” this fire hydrant, into Vancouver’s Stanley Park!

I wasn’t aware that the park had it own fire suppression system until recently, when I started to explore it more thoroughly. I’m happy to see it after a couple of very dry years here.

I could have done a nice “Post Card” shot but that would have been too boring…

Canada’s Pacific Gateway… yes.

Sunny or Cloudy, an awesome City.

Gateway to Dreams for most,

Nightmares for some…
